ROUTE DETAILS
Kottayam – Ettumanoor – Pala – Muttom – Kulamavu Dam – Idukki Dam – Kattappana – Puliyanmala – Thekkady.
(The final route gpx file to be updated later . The organisers reserves the right to alter the route, based on traffic and road conditions on the event day).
EVENT DETAILS
Date: Saturday, 14th March 2026
Starting Point : Caesar Palace Hotel, Nagampadom, Kottayam
Start Time: Race - 5.30 AM | Tour - 5.45 AM
Reporting Time: Gates will be open by 4.00 AM and will close at 5.00 AM.
Race Finish: 145km Anakkara, Idukki
Tour Finish: 160km Treetop Hotel, Thekkady
Elevation : 3000+ meters
The 5th edition of ToT will be an electronically timed event for a more efficient management.

Category / Cut off time
Race : Elite Men / 8 ( Eight ) hours
Race : Masters Men / 9 ( Nine ) hours
Race : Women / 9 ( Nine ) hours
Touring : All / 14 ( Fourteen ) hours

Race Format : Open-road event with mass participation and a mass start endurance (Gran Fondo) race, contested in individual categories.
Pre-event formalities : 12th / 13th March 2026, Kottayam.
Eligibility : All participants must be above 18 years’ of age. For Master Men race, 40+years to be completed.
Equipment : Only manually driven pedal bicycles are allowed.
Registration Fees includes
Certificates, medals, technical support, hydration support at fixed locations, medical aid, ambulance services, bag drop facility and refreshments at start and standard lunch/dinner at the finish point.
Bag Drop Facility (free)
Bag drop facility of essential items (less than 2kg, small bags) is provided from Kottayam to Thekkady and can be returned to Kottayam.
Cycle Return Transportation Facility (payable / optional)
Your cycles will be transported back to Kottayam by next day by vehicle (conditions apply).
Tour of Thekkady 2026 Merchandise (payable / optional)
Event jersey and other merchandise will be available for purchase separately.
Prizes/ Medals/ Certificates
1. All finishers get the Tour of Thekkady 2026 medal.
2. All finishers get the Tour of Thekkady 2026 completion digital certificate with their timing, provided they finish within the stipulated cut-off time.
3. Attractive cash prizes for top 3 positions in individual race categories (A rider can be considered for only one category).
4. The ToT winner's jersey will be introduced starting from the 2026 edition, applicable for men and women elite categories as well as segment winners.
Category : 1st Prize / 2nd Prize / 3rd Prize
Elite Men and Women :
₹20,000/ ₹12,000 / ₹8,000 + Special Winner's Jersey (P1) & Spinneys Dubai92 voucher (for all riders on the podium)
Master Men (40+) :
₹10,000/ ₹7,500/ ₹5,000 + Spinneys Dubai92 voucher (for all riders on the podium)
5. Top 6 (Six) riders in all individual categories are awarded FREE complimentary entry (worth AED 395 Rs. 9,600 each ) into Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge 2027 edition in Feb/March. The complimentary vouchers for the eligible riders will be shared individually once the registration for Spinneys is open.
6. Prizes giving away ceremony will be after the race event cut off time - 3.00 PM

Touring
1. A scenic 160 km endurance tour with a generous 14-hour finish window — perfect for riders (18+ years) who prefer to enjoy the route, take breaks, and immerse themselves in the natural beauty along the way. Any participants who wishes to ride so, may select the "Touring" option which has 14hrs for cut off.
2. Participants must select "Touring" specifically at the time of registration..
3. This is a self supported event. However minimum tech support can be provided on request, subject to availability of technicians..
4. Personal support team is NOT ALLOWED for ToT 2026.
5. Minimum support is provided by the organisers at designated control points.
6. Any vehicle found to be supporting the participants enroute will be subject to immediate disqualification.
7. Finish Point - Treetop Hotel, Thekkady

Individual Race Category
1. Participants must select their race category according to age and gender.
2. Any participant who does not finish their race within the cut off time will not be eligible for the prizes and will be automatically relegated to the touring category.
3. This is a self supported event. However minimum tech support can be provided on request, subject to availability of technicians..
4. Personal support team is permitted at your own cost, conditionally.
5. Support vehicles are not allowed to tag or ride along with riders. They have to be stationed at any of the prescribed control points. Any support during the ride for a rider must be with the permission of ride officials.
6. This is an open road race Gran Fondo. The rider has to follow traffic regulations and mindful of pedestrians and motorists enroute. People in these region is not familiar to speeding bicycles on-road, so rider has to ride safely while racing.
7. Stipulated NO RACE ZONE will be applicable for safety reason. It will be briefed in due course.
8. New 'Segment Race' for an exclusive jersey is introduced into race category.

Technical / Hydration support enroute
The on-road support will be closed by 4:00PM for the entire route.

SUGGESTIONS FOR RETURN/STAY FROM/AT THEKKADY
Return to Kottayam post the event is the sole responsibility of riders. Easiest way is to ride back to Kottayam via Kuttikanam (KK Road - 110km ), which mostly is rolling hills. Taxi jeep and public bus transportation is also easily available from Thekkady back to Kottayam.
Stay at Thekkady: Thekkady is an ideal tourist destination of Kerala and many hotels of various budget sizes are available for rent. We strongly request riders to book the hotels early.
Each riders must accept these conditions
I accept the following TERMS AND CONDITIONS for participating in the Tour of Thekkady 2026:
1. I am of 18 years or above legal age.
2. I have read and agree to abide by the race rules and regulations.
3. I agree to comply with the traffic and road laws and regulations of India.
4. I fully understand and agree that I am entering this event entirely at my own risk and accept without exception full and complete liability for all and any risks and will not hold responsible nor make claims against KEG Bikers, any of the participants or the organiser, its committee members, agents or servants for any loss, damage or injury however caused in relation to my participation in this event.
5. I understand and fully accept the rights of the event officials to take decisions based on perceived risk to health and safety and to stop any rider or crew from continuing.
6. I understand that when I am riding a bicycle, I am required to wear a helmet, use rear blinkers, use front light, wear a reflective vest at all times during the event.
7. I understand that I am required to comply with all the safety requirements set out in the event rules.
8. Participation in the event is subject to approval from KEG Bikers after payment of registration fees. I understand that KEG Bikers reserves the right to refuse or cancel my registration and will refund the registration fees after deductions of payment gateway processing charges.
9. I agree to sign the waiver form and submit the required information and documents at the time of pre-event registration prior to the event.
10. I understand that any attempt at cheating (as determined by the event officials) if proven, will result in immediate disqualification.
11. I agree to make the payment of registration fees as per the event tickets.
12. I understand that my participation will be cancelled without refund for non completion of mandatory pre-event registration formalities, equipment inspection or non attendance of pre-race briefing at the appointed time.
13. I understand that KEG Bikers reserves the right to cancel any category in the event due to low participation. Option to change category or a refund (less payment charges) will be provided to the rider.
14. I agree to take insurance with sufficient coverage for life, personal accident and third party liability for all members of the team, riders and crew.
15. No refund for cancellation after the last date of registration.
16. All participants and their respective crew accept unconditionally, all responsibility for their own health with respect to any and all situations!
17. All participants and their respective crew agree to the health and safety regulations as directed by the organisers.
18. I agree that all decisions taken by the event organisers and KEG Bikers will be final in all matters pertaining to this event.
