Terms and Conditions
ROUTE DETAILS: Kottayam – Ettumanoor – Pala – Muttom – Kulamavu Dam – Idukki Dam – Kattappana – Puliyanmala – Thekkady. (The final route gpx file to be updated later . The organizers reserves the right to alter the route, based on traffic and road conditions on the event day).

End: Tree Top hotel, Thekkady.
Distance: 160km for touring, 145 Km for race

Race Format : Team and Individual events
Pre Event formalities: 6th / 7th March 2025, Kottayam
Eligibility: All participants must be above 18 years’ of age.
Equipment: only manually driven pedal bicycles are allowed.
Registration Fees includes:
- Certificates, medal, technical support, hydration support at fixed locations, medical aid, ambulance services, bag drop facility and refreshments at start and standard lunch/dinner at the finish point.
Bag Drop facility ( free) : bag drop facility of essential items ( less than 2Kg, small bags) is provided from Kottayam to Thekkady and can be returned to Kottayam
Cycle Return Transportation facility ( payable / optional)
Your cycles will be transported back to Kottayam by next day by vehicle ( conditions apply)
Tour of Thekkady 2025 Merchandize ( payable / optional)
Event Jersey and other merchandize will be available to purchase seperately.
Technical / Hydration support enroute:
The on-road support will be closed by 4:00PM after that available on emergency basis.
Prizes/ Medals/ Certificates:
1. All finishers get the Tour of Thekkady 2025 medal.
2. All finishers get The Tour of Thekkady 2025 completion certificate, if they finish within the stipulated cut off time.
3. Attractive cash prizes for top 3 positions in Team and Individual race categories. (a rider can be considered for only one category)

Team : 30,000 / 20,000 / 10,000
Elite Men : 10,000 / 7,000 / 5,000
Master Men (40+) : 7,000 / 5,000 / 3,000
Women : 10,000 / 7,000 / 5,000
Prizes giving away ceremony will be after the Race event cut off time - 3:30 PM @ Treetop Hotel.
Touring
1. Any participants who are not confident to finish the event may select the Touring which has 15hrs for cut off.
2. Participants must select Touring specifically at the time of registration..
3.. This is a self supported event. However minimum tech support can be provided on request, subject to availability of technicians..
5. Personal support team is permitted at own cost.
6. Support vehicles are not allowed to tag or ride along with riders. They have to be stationed at any of the prescribed control points or follow prescribed volunteer vehicles. Any support during the ride for a rider must be with permission of ride officials.
Individual Race Category
1. Participants must select their race category according to age and gender.
2. Any participant who does not finish their race within the cut off time will not be eligible for the prizes and will be automatically relegated to the touring category.
3. The event organizers reserve the right to club 2 categories of the same gender or cancel a category in its entirety, if there are less than 4 participants in any particular category.

Team event:
1. Teams must register as a team under the race category
2. A team can have a maximum of 4 riders and at least 3 riders must finish.
3. All 4 riders must start the ride, but only the first finishing 3 riders will be considered for calculating team points, and 4th rider is considered as substitute.
4. Penalty point system is followed to find the team winner (rider rank = rider point). Team with least total penalty points is the winner.
5. Any participant who does not finish their race within the cut off time, will not be eligible for the prizes and will be automatically relegated to the touring category.
5. The event organizers reserve the right to cancel the category in its entirety, if there are less than 4 participants in any particular category. However, team members will be allowed to compete in the individual race category according to their age and gender category.
4. Team can have support vehicles and crew at their own expense. A maximum of 2 crew members and one vehicle is allowed per team.
5. Support vehicles are not allowed to tag or ride along with riders. They have to be stationed at any of the prescribed control points. Any support during the ride for a rider must be with permission of ride officials.
6. All expenses of the support crew including boarding and food must be borne by the teams themselves and not included in the event registration fee.
Suggestions for return from Thekkady: Return to Kottayam post event is the sole responsibility of riders. Easiest way is to ride back to Kottayam via Kuttikanam ( KK Road - 110km ), which mostly rolling hills and downhill. Taxi Jeep, and Public bus transportation is also easily available from Thekkady
Stay at Thekkady: Accomodation is not included in the registration fee. Thekkady is an ideal tourist destination of Kerala and many hotels of various budget sizes available for rent. We strongly request riders to book the hotels early.
Each riders must accept these conditions:
I/We accept the following TERMS AND CONDITIONS for participating in the Tour of Thekkady 2023:
1. 1/We are 18 years or above legal age.
2. I/We have read and agree to abide by the Race Rules and Regulations.
3. I/We agree to comply with the traffic and road laws and regulations of India.
4. I/We fully understand and agree that I/We am/are entering this event entirely at my/our own risk and accept without exception full and complete liability for all and any risks and will not hold responsible nor make claims against KEG Bikers, any of the participants or organizer, its committee members, agents or servants for any loss, damage or injury however caused in relation to my/our participation in this event.
5. I/We understand and fully accept the rights of the Event Officials to take decisions based on perceived risk to health and safety and to stop any rider or crew from continuing.
6. I/We understand that when I/We am/are riding a bicycle, I/We am/are required to wear a helmet, use rear blinkers, use front light, wear a reflective vest at all times during the event.
7. I/We understand that I/We am/are required to comply with all the safety requirements set out in the event Rules.
8. Participation in the Event is subject to Approval from KEG Bikers after Payment of Registration fees. I/We understand that KEG Bikers reserves the right to refuse or cancel my/our registration and will refund the registration fees after deductions of Payment Gateway processing charges.
9. I/We agree to sign the waiver form and submit the required information and documents at the time of Pre-event Registration prior to the event.
10. I/We understand that any attempt at cheating (as determined by the event officials) if proven, will result in immediate disqualification.
11. I/We agree to make the Payment of Registration fees as per the event tickets.
12. I/We understand that my/our Participation will be cancelled without refund for non completion of Mandatory Pre event Registration formalities, equipment inspection or non attendance of pre-race briefing at the appointed time.
13. I/We understand that KEG Bikers reserves the right to cancel any category in the event due to low participation. Option to change category or a refund (less payment charges) will be provided to the rider.
14. I/We agree to take insurance with sufficient coverage for life, personal accident and third party liability for all members of the team, riders and crew.
15. No refund for cancellation after 1st February 2024.
16. All participants and their respective crew accept unconditionally, all responsibility for their own health with respect to any and all situations!
17. All participants and their respective crew agree to abide by health norms as directed by the pertinent authorities at all times during.
18. I/We agree that all decisions taken by the event organizers and KEG Bikers will be final in all matters pertaining to this event.
